Azar Nafisi

About
Azar Nafisi served on the faculty at Tehran University and later Allemeh Tabatabai University. She was a visiting fellow at the University of Oxford, and taught on the interactions between Western and Iranian culture. Nafisi has earned international recognition for advocating on behalf of Iran's intellectuals, youth and especially women. She has a PhD in English literature from the University of Oklahoma.
